README.TEXT - IE/DOpus4 Support Documentation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The script (only one at the moment) in this directory is written for users
of the disk util Directory Opus 4.x. The script require DOpus 4.0 or higher
and ImageEngineer 3.0 or higher. Both DOpus and IE must be running when the
scripts are executed.
Included support files
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"REXX:IE_Import.dopus4" - imports all selected files in the source (SRCE)
dir into Image Engineer. An output window *must* be opened to output the
status of the image loading. *>>If an output window is not opened then
DOpus 4 will hang!<<* This is DOpus' fault.
Setup for support files
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To setup usage of the installed script, go to DOpus4 and start up the
configuration program. Now you should create either a new menu item or a
new button, which will start the file import to Image Engineer. When you
have entered "edit mode" for the desired button or menu item, choose the
menu item "Paste" in the cofiguration programs menu bar. A requester will
appear showing a number of possible selections. Selecting one of them will
automatically setup your button/menu item for that function. Press OK to
accept the settings.
Functions:
IE Import - uses the installed script "REXX:IE_Import.dopus4" to import
images into IE.
IX Change, IX Clone, IX Multiply, IX Reverse - uses scripts that are
installed from the "IE:Extra/ARexx/" directory. Read that specific ReadMe
file for more information about those scripts.
Note: The functions "IX Change", "IX Clone", "IX Reverse" requires that you
*only* select the *first* and *last* file in the range you want to process.
This is because the scripts are not written specifically for DOpus4 but for
DOS in general.
